When to Ride
Family man is best spring through fall, particularly a day or so after a light rain. It should be avoided after a heavy rain or if temperatures are below freezing the previous night. Freezing temperatures, especially in recently logged areas where there is little protection from trees, can cause freeze thaw and muddy conditions. Use your best judgement and turn around if conditions are too muddy! Your trail builders will thank you!
