HRATS-
Good chatting with you yesterday. For your information I have attached the Decision Notice and maps for the Burdoin Mt., Coyote Wall and Catherine Cr Area Recreation Plan. As noted in the Decision Notice all trails leading to private land will be closed (see below). We obviously are not in a position to condone or encourage trespass on trails leading onto private land (just as in the case of the Coyote Wall Trail).
Private Land Protection
“No trails will be located on, or lead to, private or Tribal land. In the Coyote planning area no system trails are allowed north of the Atwood Road in order to protect private lands. Klickitat County will be consulted in order to resolve any land ownership/use issues regarding the proposed trail on Atwood Road. In the Burdoin planning area no trails will be located on or lead to private land. Trail B1 and B2 from Atwood Road to the Courtney Road parking lot will not be built until non-system trail decommissioning is complete.” (bottom of page 5)
During the planning process we contacted adjacent private land owners to determine if they would be willing to work with us to acquire legal access across their property. None were interested at that time.
Hopefully this works for you. If need something more let me know.
Don’t hesitate to call if you any questions.
